It was a hot summer day, and the temperature was degrees. The sun was in the sky, and I didn’t want to go . My little brother asked me, “ don’t we play football?” I looked at him and said, “There’s shade and it’s too hot!” He didn’t give up. He found old ball and ran to the field. After about an hour, he came back. One of his shoes had come , and his was all dirty. He said, “I scored the goal!” I smiled and gave him some water. Later, we sat down to our holiday plans. He wanted to to a big city and visit the museum. I wanted something more relaxing — maybe go or read a book. Then Mum called us. “Come help me with lunch!” she said. We had forty minutes before our guests arrived. It was our cousin’s fourteenth birthday, and she had invited her sister, who was thirty years old! When they arrived, the house was full. We didn’t have chairs, so some people had to stand. “Oh no,” Mum whispered, “I forgot the drinks!” The was a bit funny, but in the end, it was a nice party. The cake was huge — almost a of it was chocolate. I got the third slice, and it was delicious.
